About our rapid evaluation

An evaluation is underway to help provide a fuller picture of our progress to date. Your views are welcomed.

19.10.2024 Corporate updates

Throughout 2024, we have been taking stock of progress to date as part of refresh of our strategy.

As part of this, we have commissioned a rapid evaluation to help provide a complete picture of how we have – or have not – contributed to change in how mine closure and transformations are understood and approached. It will also help us understand lessons for the future.

The review will focus on research, adoption and partnership activities, seeking to understand short-term outcomes and perspectives of partners.

We invite you to openly and honestly share your perspective and experiences to date.

Social Impax, an independent evaluation consultancy, is undertaking the review following an open EOI process. Social Impax brings extensive experience, with a strong focus on social and community aspects

Process, confidentiality and safeguarding data

Different approaches will be used as part of the evaluation, including interviews, a survey and document review. A series of case studies will also be produced.

Information you share with Social Impax will be treated as confidential and only used for the purpose of the evaluation. Social Impax will also respect the First Nations Inclusion Principles throughout the evaluation, with a particular focus on consent processes and safeguarding of data.

Once the evaluation is complete, we will host a briefing with partners to share emerging themes and opportunities for the future. Those that participate in stakeholder interviews will also receive a report.
