Restoring Country: Building Indigenous knowledge and skills to engage in mine closure and transition

Join us on 7 August for a Restoring Country webinar focusing on education initiatives and existing training platforms.

This webinar highlights the existing and prospective training and education initiatives aimed at equipping Indigenous people with the skills to lead partnerships and actively participate in mine closure and rehabilitation.

Speakers will share their experiences and perspectives on:

  • currently available training in mine closure
  • skills gap identification, i.e. what skills are needed now and into the future
  • organisational challenges, e.g. liability, partnerships, legal issues, governance and capacity barriers

We will be joined by Gowan Bush, Tim Milsom, and Zane Hughes.
