Professor Sánchez will:
- present key concepts relating to nature positive outcomes relevant to mining, with a particular focus on direct and indirect biodiversity impacts.
- reflect on the implications of nature positive commitments for the expansion of mining.
- discuss legal aspects of mining in or near Indigenous lands in Brazil.
The webinar is particularly timely given the International Council on Mining and Metal’s new Nature: Position Statement.
