Make a difference by leading research in mine closure

Have you ever thought about what happens when a mine closes and how that affects Traditional Owners, communities, the environment and local businesses?

The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME) is an independent research organisation, established under the Australian Government’s world-leading CRC Program to drive research and innovation. We have more than 75 diverse partners.

In essence, our role is to reimagine and help transform post-mine transitions by connecting Australia’s best researchers with industry, governments and regional and First Nations communities and organisations.

We tackle some of the most complex challenges associated with mine closure and post-transitions with the aim of supporting enduring benefit for people, communities, the environment and industry

Embedding Indigeneity and First Nations co-design into all we do

We are striving to ensure First Nations inclusion by developing new ways of working in research. CRC TiME is guided by a First Nations Inclusion Strategy, has established a First Nations Advisory Team and is committed to supporting Indigenous students.
