Our 2025-27 Strategy and Prioritisation Plans

Together, the strategy and plans focus us on six complex challenges preventing positive post-mine transformations where we are well-placed to make a difference.

A diverse partnership working to address the challenge of mine closure and post-mine transformations needs a shared path.

Our 2025-27 Strategy and supporting Research, First Nations and Adoption and Impact Plans sets out this path, focusing on areas where CRC TiME can make the most difference.

Guiding our work are six interconnected objectives, developed through consultation with partners and findings from 46 projects so far. These are:

  1. Supporting Corporate leadership in valuing post-mine transitions.
  2. Operationalising mine closure transition opportunities within mine planning processes.
  3. Establish the business case for asset transfer.
  4. Contribute to policy and regulation that minimises negative impacts and maximises benefits.
  5. Enabling regional scale outcomes.
  6. Support supply chain, education, training and workforce development.

Each objective is supported by a corresponding Research, Adoption and Impact and First Nations Priority, captured in standalone plans.

  • Research Priority: We will focus research investment in these areas where we are uniquely placed to make a difference.
  • First Nations Priority: We will work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations and communities to support change in these six key areas. Each priority aligns with what we have heard is important to First Nations people and aligns with our purpose, expertise and strategic priorities.
  • Adoption and Impact Priorities: We will support partners and stakeholders to implement and apply new knowledge, tools and resources. These tools, resources, technologies and frameworks are briefly outlined on pages from Page 29.
