CRC TiME Distinguished Paper Awards 2023

We are pleased to launch the annual CRC TiME Distinguished Paper Awards, recognising excellence in peer-reviewed research conducted by CRC TiME authors. The award winners will be announced at the 2023 CRC TiME Forum.

Award categories

  • CRC TiME Distinguished Conference paper award (value $1,000)
  • CRC TiME Distinguished Journal paper award (value $2,500)

All peer-reviewed papers conducted by CRC TiME researchers may be submitted for consideration by the Awards Committee. These include papers based on:

  • Individual CRC TiME projects
  • Comparisons between CRC TiME projects
  • Research conducted in the course of CRC TiME funded student theses
  • Ideas generated through CRC TiME events (e.g. workshops and forums)

Award recipients will be able to use prize money towards a wide range of outcomes (e.g. conference attendance, professional development, visits to institutes, equipment etc) and will be requested to write an article for the CRC TiME newsletter on how they have used the prize money.

Eligibility criteria

All nominations must be received by 5 October 2023 and meet the following eligibility criteria:

  1. Papers led by CRC TiME authors as part of CRC TiME projects/theses/events
  2. Approved by CRC TiME for publication including completion of a CRC TiME Request to Publish form
  3. Been through an external peer-review process
  4. Published (or accepted for publication) by an indexed journal or conference proceedings.
  5. Published (or accepted for publication) within 12 months prior to the nomination due date (ie. Since 5 October 2022)

Papers will be assessed based on the following criteria:

  1. Novelty of topic
  2. Quality of research
  3. Clarity of writing (concise, readable)
  4. Potential impact for CRC TiME partners and stakeholders

Nominations should be sent to info@crctime.com.au and include the words ‘Distinguished Paper Award Submission’ in the title of the email.  Nominations should include a copy of the paper(s) as attachments and a summary of how the eligibility criteria and assessment criteria have been met.
